well, I AM going to bother to vote this time, I will vote for whoever is the UKIP candidate, its about time that we sent a message to the big 3 that we are hacked off with the EU dragging us down and dictating to us, this qatada farce is the last straw. tired of the carrot being dangled in our face of a vote on the EU, and then miraculously it is taken away when they get in.
clearly the tory lot feel threatened, hence the "scandal" today of comments a UKIP member made years ago.........
I don't get involved in politics on here but just to add that many many people that I know plan to vote UKIP for the first time. The decimation of various trades and wage structures in the London area is the primary reason.
On a national level personally I would go for UKIP too... That's what a MP is for??? But, my main worry is this is for local/county level and it annoys me that the candidates are attached to political parties as I rather vote for someone whose policies/ideas I agree with that is to the benefit of the county/area that I live. Or am I missing the point of these local elections?
Ah yes...
UKIP, a party that is so strongly anti EU that their leader is an MEP and is paid by the very organisation he 'Says' he'd like to see the end of.
Don't see him putting motions forwards to disolve the whole thing, or making statements in the European parliament about why the UK should leave.
Nope, he just goes ahead and collects his 30 pieces of silver and his expense claims, while telling everyone how bad the place is.
At least with Sinn Fein, they stand up and say "Vote for us and we will represent your interests but we will not take up our seats OR receieve anymoney from the UK parliament"
My idea scenario is a that the 3 parties end up with no majority and no way of forming a coalition just to gain power that will be a real wake up call .
WE have the power but unfortunately don't use it wisely . WE control who gets in. So in order to get their snouts in the trough they need to keep US happy .Something they all seem to have forgotten, as have WE.
Two of the worst things that happened in recent history were repeated landslide Tory re-election followed by the same with Labour. They are far more likely to consider meeting their mandates if kept in a constant of worrying if THEY will have a job come next vote. Unfortunately we seem to put up with shit Government for far too long and then do the same with the replacement Government . Keep them on their toes !!
i think in the next general election we will end up with a labour/liberal coalition... its frightening.
unfortunately i dont think any of the parties want to deliver for the electorate, they all say what you want to hear but underneath have their own agenda, doesnt matter what they say in their manifesto - its all lies to tempt you in.
DO NOT VOTE #UKIP! VOTE #GREEN OR #TUSC ! #UKIP candidate posted hate group material to official party pageshttp://politicalscrapbook.net/2013/04/ukip-candidate-posted-hate-group-material-to-official-party-pages/
To Quote some of the articles about them...: "Even some claimants have been sucked in as the party has gone deliberately quiet about their own welfare policies. When @boycottworkfare began tweeting their workfare plans to claimants who thought UKIP might be on our side, they decided to 'disappear' their welfare policy summary from their website."
"UKIP's welfare policies include forced unpaid work for all Housing and Council Tax Benefit claimants, Incapacity Benefit (now ESA) slashed to Job Seeker's Allowance rates and childcare support for working parents demolished. Don't trust them."
"UKIP will: Require those on benefits - starting with Housing and Council Tax Benefit recipients in private rented homes - to take part in council-run local community projects called 'Workfare' schemes. The schemes will be in addition to council jobs"
"Even some claimants have been sucked in as the party has gone deliberately quiet about their own welfare policies. When @boycottworkfare began tweeting their workfare plans to claimants who thought UKIP might be on our side, they decided to 'disappear' their welfare policy summary from their website.
Luckily it was still available on google cache, where it won't stay for ever so it's reproduced below. They also forgot to remove the full policy document from their server which can be downloaded at: http://www.ukip.org/media/pdf/UKIPwelfare.pdf "
SO PLEASE DO NOT BE SUCKED INTO VOTING FOR THE UKIP, AS THEY WILL MAKE ALL THAT HAS GONE ON BEFORE LOOK LIKE A KINDERGARTEN...!!!
I know you've been here a long time and have a large post count, and I know that as well as being fairly new here I am also young and stupid. Still, I feel inclined to ask if you are a troll. Not because you don't like UKIP - I don't expect them to appeal to everyone - but because of excessive use of caps lock, loads of links, the posting of the same point twice, posting in the middle of the night and the instruction to vote for the Greens (not a fan of V8s, then) or TUSC (not a fan of hard work). What's more, the anti-UKIP points you've supplied actually sound like very good reasons, to me, to vote UKIP.
Your posts on the cyclists thread don't help your cause either.
If you aren't trolling then I apologise, please don't be angry, but I might ask that you change your posting style.
well, vote cast on the way to work this morning, we will see how it pans out, although after the smear campaign in the last 2 days, somebody is worried. amusing to someone who can see through the mist, cos clearly the main 3 haven't been fiddling or acting appropriately have they???????
