    My Ratty 100e

Started this about 18 months ago, due to a house move progress has been a little slow, plan to have it MOT'd later this year. This car had been sat in a barn for over 20 years before the previous owner recomissioned it. Being in the barn wasnt a problem but the owner hadn't noticed the roof had caved in. This has resulted in a nice patina whilst it remains very solid underneath.

Engine pulled and rove P5 rad trail fitted, need it reconditoned if anyone can help?

    Bulkhead and trans tunnel removed

    Engine and box trial fitted

Bulkhead and trans tunnel fabricated, bought a metal folder for this and it proved invaluable!

Gearbox crossmember is removable to aid getting engine and box in and out

Pedal box is a bias unit from a mk2 escort

105e axle in place hopefully it will survive if i go careful??

Presently the car is fitted with slotmags but i'd like to swop them out for 15" steel smoothies painted red with 1940's ford hubcaps and trim rings + lower profile whitewall tyres when fund permit. Also want to relocate the handbrake and fit a bench seat up front, planning on modding a mkII Consul dash binicle to fit as i like the look.
More pics to follow as things hopefully progress.

    A few more pics

Have recently pulled the engine out to tidy up the trans crossmember and to finish welding the bits i couldnt get to with the engine and box in. Going to treat the engine bay to declutter followed by a coat of satin black, engine block is getting painted red. front end uses a old ford autos suspension conversion so i can run 2.8 struts and brakes, back end is running 9" drums.
Still need to sort a propshaft out and wire it though.
