    52 buick special 8

    im building a ratrod using a 52 buick special 8 rolling chassis .(straight 8 engine) i need to convert it to right hand drive .has anybody got any good tips or advice .to point me in the right direction !!!

    If you want to stay with steering box setup with PS what about BMW E34 , should not be too difficult to make mountings that will bolt to chassis and adapt linkages
    BTW why RHD and what body are you fitting to chassis

    im fitting an austin 16 body to it .just wanted to keep it right hand drive .(so the better half can drive it too ) !!

    i have a look at the e34 set up .theres a good bmw breakers not to far from me .so will have a look .many thanks .ricky

    I have used Suzuki Vitara a number of times either with or without P.S. Have used BMW box but it is very heavy. Both have splined input shafts so you can use any steering column.
    See my Chevy build for the BMW box installation, having used it for 6000 miles the system works very well without any bumpsteer.
