    Alternator, which car uses a small size?

    As title, a bit tight on space, so need a small alt' which car has such a thing? needs to be with a ribbed pully!

    a lot of jap cars run small bodied alternators
    hyundai and daewoo spring to mind ..

    i supply a lot of these, most of the jap stuff is small and quite high output. most have internal fans so no unsightly fan behind the pully. you can find them with single V or multi V (ribbed) from 3V to 6V, if you cant find the pully yopu want i can knock one up for you to your spec (ie it will line up) for sensible cash.

    Suzuki SJ413 has a small Nippon Denso 40A allternator. So does the Daihatsu Charade.

    My mate runs a mitsubishi on his on his chevy powered roadster
    There's no replacement for displacement.

    Got a small Mitsubishi 40A unit, looks to have come off a Kubuto mini digger and be brand new. Has a V groove pulley but can be swapped, £50 to you.

    Thanks for the info, & thansk for the offer- a mate thinks he has a small one ( alternator) tucked away in the work shop so may be ok.
