    Tyre width options '67 Lemans

    Hi all.

After a little help with deciding on tyre size for my Lemans. Currently I have 15 x 8 Cragar SS with 215/75 tyres and 2" drop spindles. With this combo they don't quite fit under the front arch, just snagging on the bolts for the inner guards. Obviously this would affect they`re long term use!!!!!

So I need to replace them, and would like advice of those more experienced to help make correct descision.

As far as I can tell, the wheels are 15x8, -6mm offset, 4 and 1/4" Backspace.

Would going to a 205 x 65 tyre help enough?

Rear wheels fit nicely and are much bigger!!!! Love the stance of it, just gotta get the tyre right.

    Thanks all in advance

    Col

If you go down to a 205/65 tyre then thats a full 2" lower and obviously a tad narrower,
It may give you the clearance but the car will sit at least an inch lower at the front and that'll change the stance you like,
The tyre also may not fill the arch well and lot a bit lost.

That's a good point. Perhaps I'll go for a 210/70 tyre. Want to make sure it fills the arch for sure.

    Thanks for the reply.
