Ive e-mailed him Marc, Ive asked him to 'tag' it onto here.
Incidentally,he had sent me another link, you may like to check it out if you ever are on Hemmings website. Its a '69 Camaro 'Custom build' (yawn, another one) Its called Zeus-and for good reason, but-this ones a 'bit' diff,it has an all Aluminium 707ci motor in all under the stock cowl hood!! also Lenco trans on a Gear vendors etc. The interesting thing here is they built it in primer and drove the wheels off it to address all the faults that you would expect to find with a build like this. Then the car was completly stripped and painted and finished off to perfection. The item # is- '69 camaro ad#1141735.html. You tell me if its worth the asking price!!LOL

How the hell do they get those tyres to hook having made the power? There must be a very fine balance between getting it just right and going up in smoke.
    Very very impressive cars...love 'em.

Hi, Don, cheers for that mate! that was quick. If theres anymore info (new or old) on this sort of stuff post it on this thread if you want, seems like there other people interested/appriciate how hard it is to get 'land yachts' to run fast instead of the easy route of light car/any combo type deal!!! . Fk,its hard enough getting a B-body-67 Chevelle-tri chev etc type cars to run fast WITH the power adder/slick/fibreglass stuff never mind on 7" treaded tyres!
As usual, your performance on the P.C. shows through, and ill just bow down and walk out backwards as usual. LOL! Later mate.Ol.

Hey Biff, same here mate, this is how I like to do it (try) I got down to 12.70 with a stock 340hp iron headed 383 and 3.23 gears @3600lb, but I dont think its poss to get much faster. A gear swop may get a bit more but all sorts of 'wierd' stuff happens when you have strict limitations involved. Moving up to a higher numerically gear, believe it or not, can sometimes 'kill' the performance.(very lazy torque curve on a stock motor) My car runs out the end of the 1/4 on the red line in 2nd gear(1 less gearchange to bring the 'lazy' engine down off the cam) Its a strange science, and I love the challenge of getting something out of nothing. Of course, 12 sec (like v8 Cougar said earlier) is only an average street car time now and its a bit so-so I have to agree, but I ran these times back in the late 80s with the same engine that I have now.

I love stuff like this too.
Anything that appears stock or anything that is road legal.
I love the the Street Eliminator and things along the lines of the guy who owns the matt black Viva with a 4 pot and now has the old Vauxhall van. Fantastic stuff, and very, very impressive.
    Brute force & ignorance.
