    Had a call back from London Chroming today - I sent them some pics of the 57 bumpers. they said they cant do them due to the overhang!?! dont know if that means that they cant do or dont want to but anyway...

    Spoke to RCJ in Hoddesdon who seem to be well recommended and they say that bumper start at about £350 - £400 as a guide so I'tll be cheaper to buy new rear centre for mine but will probably have the front done as it s a 1 piece...

    Would be interested to hear from anyone whos had work done a Pro platers on Manor trading or Kings - Canvey!

    Ive had work done by kings, nothing wrong with what i had done, but they do public work Saturday mornings only, so could be a long wait, as last time I went they were very busy.

    Thanks guys with your comments,

    I am going to try Pro Plate in Thundersley as they are close, i dont want anymore chrome peeling off so wont use Kings and if they are not preped very well i dont want to use Hockley Ent, I will let you know how i get on, hope to pop there tomorrow or monday, got front and rear bumpers and some small trim to have done off of a '67 Impala.....will let you know the results!!

    I have used Kings on Canvey a number of times
    bumpers, leaf springs.brackets etc
    All have been good and are lasting well[4 yrs later]

    rcj metal finishers are in hoddesdon herts, pindar road , had some parts done by them few years ago very good!

    Yeah, I've used RCJ before. No complaints. Used to do black-chrome too but I think they've stopped now.
