This Fine Automobile was Bought and Imported in October, it came from the Ex President of the AACA (Antique Automobile Club of America) who was thinning his collection of Model A's down as hes now in his 80's..
Its a 1929 LeatherBack Coupe, its all steel, it was given a Frame on Restoration some time ago and has since been given the odd touch up here and there, the fenders have some typical Model A splits that have been repaired, but its by no means full of filler! Its an extremely solid original car.
The rest of the bodywork is straight and tidy, the doors, bootlid and bonnet all fit and close nicely, the windows roll up and down Properly, the screen opens up as it should, the only thing to report is one loose bit of tack strip above the windscreen on the right side.
The engine was re-built around 5-6 years ago, he covered very few miles before the car was Laid up (he bought a Roadster), i literally added some petrol and a battery and the old girl fired up!
Ive moved it in and out of the workshop a couple of times, the brakes, clutch, gears all feel nice and the engine runs great.
The Interior is lovely, not sure if its a Kit or Custom made but its super nice and looks very recent! The headliner, door panels and seat are all matching in a nice woolcloth material, there is a new rubber floor mat and the handles etc all look to have been replaced, its really nice in there.
All the Electrics seem to work, the wheels have been Powdercoated and had the tyres replaced (the spare tyre does have some cracking), its a nice genuine old car.
With a little bit of fiddling (if I get a chance I'll do some of it myself) it will be ready for the road, I have the NOVA Here and the Clear Pennsylvania Title, registration will be straightforward.
