Just thought id introduce myself properly, though i have been lurking around before taking the plunge and signing up...

in terms of working on cars i have a very limited history, my most extreme thing (lol) is putting a zetec in my Jago geep, however last year i acquired a mk2 roof chopped (think its a mk4 zephyr roof n rear) cortina.

this has a RV8 with a wayde allard Ro34 sat on top.

went allright and surprised a fair few people and definately the hot hatch brigade who couldn't accept that a 42 year old car absolutely destroyed their relatively expensive brand new corsa VXR or whatever it happens to be.

at this point i became hooked, and now i want to do more, i want to make this car really mine.

i have started paint removal as it was in a horrible state but am pleasantly surprised at so far find almos no rust (only one area boot seal, underneath)

i want more power the current engine cant be putting out more than 250bhp can it?) it want to put the power down too, so im looking at a jag IRS set up, as it is sat underneath leaf springs on a capri 3000 axle... the back really is high up and is not really lady like for my cortina! she's no slag

gearbox im not sure yet 6speed or 4L60e, it depends what my buddy in OZ can find for me cheap as one unit.
