    As previously said, the ruskies would have made a big thing out of it if they believed it was fake; the goal was getting there, the Americans won, there was no point in the Russians going, so they could claim second prize! with other countries now preparing to go to the moon, I would think that the US would try to get there first with a cargo of circa '69 relics to deposit on the lunar surface, if it had been faked .
    Just a passer by as you might say.

    The space station is 220 miles above the earth, so very,very near.
    The moon is 225,623 to 252,088 miles from earth depending on it's plae in orbit. So the petrol costs of driving that far are pretty expensive

    They did it in the 60's as petrol was much cheaper then.

    If the earth is flat how come all the other planets are round?

    I think the japenese sent a satellite up to orbit the moon to map the entire surface a few years ago? surely that would have shown the debris left by the lunar landings? ( I believe they did go by the way).
