    2K paint on ceramic tiles?

Its impossible to hack the tiles off in my old cottage here in France. Its 120 years old and they dont have adhesive as such, Kango them off and lose half the render is the only way. Having done that in an isolated small area...not again.

Typically old French they are a fetching mottled **** brown, I painted them 12 years ago with tile paint and despite sanding and degreasing (kitchen) it has started to lift, particularly the ones with a random motif.

Soooo...Im prepared to do all the prep again, and I have some commercial degreaser this time.
Question is will modern 2K paint work (with or without a primer) applied by roller?

I'd go with a suitable etch primer first. You used to be able to get an acid based one that looked like yellow **** water . Think it was phosphuric acid based ?

Thanks, I wondered about that but trying to improvise being in the middle of nowhere. Will see if it can be bought online. However you have reminded me I have some "disclean" concrete cleaning acid in the shed that I can clean them with as well as degrease...Thanks

had you thought about keying/sanding the tiles and tiling over them. 'they' say the best surface to tile onto is old tiles.
need a job done on your project? i may be able to help.

I have good success with the adhesion promoter used when painting plastic surfaces. Available from lots of paint suppliers

I guess its a time will tell if what you have used will work or not
