Shutter the sides and a readymix is far more cost effective.Usually they supply a couple of barrows to unload to.

Definitely readymix, ask for the garage floor mix, it has fibres in it for far greater strength.
Shutter it up well and invite a load of mates round to barrow/level it with you. It will be done in less than 2 hours.

    Re: any builders on here

When I built mine we had vast amounts deleivered the first time for deep fill foundations ( 2 metres ! ) and then the floor area was laid in 3 shuttered sections and with expansion joints.

As it was at the end of our driveway it made sense to hire a dumper as the driver is only allowed on site for 1/2 -3/4 depending on the load and then you had to pay extra.

You also had to take all the mix if you'd over calculated and find a way to get rid of it afterwards

When I had to finish the ramp in I used mixamate , paid for exactly what was used and for an extra £50 they provided a small 1/2 metre dumper that he drove the load to where used .

I have used Accumix but they are in the West Midlands

    http://www.accumix.co.uk/

I would recommend them or similar, Mixed on the wagon, the driver dumped it into the 3 barrows me and my mates had and you only pay for what you need.
