I was using diesel engines for free flight and control line in early 60's - Engel Rebell was not a name that I remember - is it American? post an image - do a search on ebay under model aircraft engines - you may find some collectors advertising who could help.

Thanks Russ , I did find that page on a Google search but can't find any other info , that guy has one in his own collection.

    I think it's German rosco , from the 60's ...

I also picked up this old glow plug engine but it's got no markings on it , just Made in USA . Looks like one of those cheapie 60's Cox engines ?

    Hi Ron,

To be honest i know very little about these things, my brother in law is into them though.

I know that link was to that mans collection but i thought seeing as his phone number is there could be worth a call he just might have the info you need (or "know the man that can").

    Cheers.

Cox may be 'Black Widow' from 60/70's- that Engel engine looks very similar to Rivers Silver Streak and what may have been its successor the Oliver Tiger series of engines. I thought that someone had started a limited edition run of these. Also Chinese replicas. The intake part of the crankase is different but perhaps there are other similarities with piston/liner etc?
