They managed to lose a model A axle got the miserly sum of 20.00 compensation.
    never knowingly use them again.
My wife says I never listen to her.....at least I think that's what she said.

It makes you wonder what they do with the missing parts as they obviously have them somewhere

They sell them at auction. Any items that they allege cannot be delivered or returned to sender are sent to auction, they have a huge warehouse full of the stuff.

Marian used to work for them because hours etc suited. Absolutely no other reason to work for them as the pay is pitiful . Depots are all run by subcontractors NOT Hermes.

There are VERY good caring conscientous drivers and there's those tha don't give a crap .

If they got rid of everyone tomorrow no one would be abl to run the business as there is no laid down method and ( like old DVLA LOs ) is all run on memory and ask the one who's been there the longest . No real difference with any of the parcel companies, all are subcontract and run on a shoestring..

The only reason I use Hermes still is because of the home collection . If it is REALLY important I'd send it Royal Mail who are often cheaper !!

This company needs closing down, how do they get away with all this? Surprise, still no parcel!!! Full of lies and ****,now saying delivery in next 24 hours as driver been delayed.if I have to drive their again I shall just take goods from their building to the same value of my package and postage they robbed me of and hold it to ransom, surely that is classed as theft now and I can prosecute them?

It is absolute madness Jim, I cannot see how anyone can loose anything really. I am not sure if it the warehouse staff or the drivers.the trouble is like you it is the inconvenience caused by not receiving them on time, total **** take

You're correct.as everything is barcoded and scanned along the way,it' would be easy to see where it went missing.

Mind no one gives a fook.

How many years have the postie's been steeling money from cards going through the mail and nothings done about it

Ive been using them for years, only ever had a problem once, now I always tick the box for a signature.
Normally they are much cheaper for heavier items.

Standard compensation is £20, if you want to cover a higher value, you have to stipulate it.

But from what Ive read above I'm now wondering.....
