    Art Deco

I know a lot of rodders love Art Deco stuff in it's entirety. we did our last house in sympathy with its 30s build.
Anyway, ended up at Saltdean nr Brighton the other night ....WOW. Never seen so many Deco style houses in one place and as for Saltdean Lido, absolutely stunning.

They were renovating a huge block of Deco flats and also building a new block next to it in a sympathetic style.

Found it , Grand Ocean Hotel, ex Butlins site !

Always loved Deco style. I'm sure Mr Lancelot Link will be along soon as I know he's a big fan too.

Oh and finally, the Tesco corporation have done something worthwhile !

a bit of a travesty putting a Tescos in the Hoover building. Went in there the other day and the supermarket is just a box inside what was a fantastic building - worked there many years ago before Tescos developed it and it was wonderful.

I've always loved that place. Never felt the need to go inside though!

Have you seen the Beach Pods down on Boscombe Beach.
Bargain at £65k each, furnished, 25 year lease, and you cant sleep in them.
Still, they have the retro style

I do like art deco ever since I did a college project on it many moons ago. I try to slip a bit of the influence into my artwork now and again, those 30s buildings make great backrounds for traditional styled cars. Anybdy know of any up north?
