back in the day i remember a music collection " i only had a coped tape" of hotrod related songs ie jan and dean ,beach boys ect but between each track you had a car /dragster go up the strip anyone else remember it and what was called ?

Not sixties but in the seventies there was an album from the film Shutdown and that had car sounds between the tracks

Still got the record in the loft, bought it many years ago from a little S/H record shop. Think I've still got the tape I copied so I could listen to it in the car as well.

I'm certain that I have an LP that is what you describe. I wouldn't say its a music collection though. My grandad was an avid record collector and when he passed many years ago that was the one record I had from his collection. I could look it up and see what its called if you like.
