Then a recap of what was on in the first segment with about 7 minutes of new footage, then a break.... Repeat ad nauseum until the 50 minute mark when they break for a 8 minutes of adverts then you get to see the final 2 minutes of the show. Roll titles and repeat.

The only good thing is to wait a day and watch on catch-up. Most of the programmes have the adverts removed as obviously the advertiser is not paying for the repeat. I have watched some hour long shows on catch-up that were 35 minutes in length.....

    Doesn't bother me one bit

I don't and never have paid the Peado Society one penny in any licence fee

They have always wasted and squandered the fee and should be scrapped altogether and they should EARN there fee and wages like every other provider

I've given up on F! too as it has just got so boring with so many rules and there aren't any more characters out there of interest

Senna was brill and Schumacher was fantastic to watch as were many others in the past... Now it's all a prosession and to me quite boring...Formula E is even worse,,,bloody zipping sewing machines (and I don't care how fast they go)

Anyway, you can watch it on catch up TV for free

Thank God there are one or two characters like like Valentino Rossi ...screw F1
If you are not part of the solution, then you are part of the problem

F1 used to be about manufactorers showing off thier skills, now its just plain and simple money.
teach your children to think, not what to think.
I am different, just like you.

we can all argue about how good/bad F1 is. i still love it after 45 years.
but....as bad as you think it is the beeb is a national gem. push them to make it better but dont give up.

here in the excited states we have a show called "my classic car". all kinds of cars. rods, customs, vintage.
we get 12 mins of actual classic car per 30 min show. the other 25 mins are advertisements or product information with the host.

i know it dont add up..silly me. it just seems like 25 mins, but the 12 min part is real, i timed it.

but the point is no adds are better than no show.

    Hi Yellow,

Unfortunately the BBC is as establishment as it gets, like FOX but way more subtle, their agendas are the same.

I can't watch US tv anymore, that BS just gives me a headache, shame because the Yanks have the capability to produce the best shows in the world, it's just ruined by ads and drama for the sake of it. In fact I don't watch tv at all, just watch stuff I like on the internet. Roadkill is awesome. The best out there.

    What ride do you have?

    hey Stude
im an ex pat from Liverpool who found my way abroad many years ago. i am so fortunate to have found my way to the most wonderful place to live.
so i do remember the Beeb. and compared to a lot of the **** we get here....its really good. some times it looks like the grass is greener but then you discover your wrong.
reality tv has taken over here. my son in law is a cameraman in Los Angeles and he has confirmed most of my suspicions about reality TV. that is, its not reality. most of the drama is initiated by the producers.
    what do i ride?
these days i have a 58 triumph TR3 with some mods. its very good fun for the southern California deserts. i live close to mountainous roads and perpetual summer. so a top down sports is all day every day fun.
up next will probably be a 30's fender less high boy.
    past rides have been
    Mk1 cortina, customized
    Mk 4 zepher customized
transit van with all the trimmings and custom
all had engine work or swaps.
lots of yank cars since i have been here.
