They are full of Pleuresy & Pnuemonia brought on by Covid. Still, not a problem for you as you don't believe it exists and as you are young you are immune.
Don't misrepresent anything I've said.
On 30th December, I sent a Freedom of Information request to Croydon Health Services NHS Trust, asking how many Covid deaths had been recorded in Croydon hospitals, what age group they were in and which ones had comorbidities, and what dates the deaths were recorded. Public bodies have a statutory requirement to answer FOIs within 20 working days of them having been submitted. I received a reply the following day saying that Croydon NHS Trust wasn't going to respect its duty to comply with statute due to 'urgent Public Health (proper noun?!) priorities'.
Also on 30th December, someone posted a film online of Croydon University Hospital looking somewhat less than preoccupied. I am fully aware that those films can be very selective in what they show, but I'll take them on their merits until I see proof of the opposite. Forgive me if I am slightly sceptical of your claim that NHS wards are full of young people, at least until the NHS decides it's not above the law and actually proves you right by honouring my FOI.
Now, taking your doomsday scenario seriously, having a virus running around killing people here and there is one of life's **** things. It falls to us to then make life better. Totalitarianism is making it worse, just like it always does.

Perhaps the people at Croydon Hospital have better things to do with thier time? I know that if I was working in a hospital right now I would be stuffing things like that in the "to do later if I can be bothered tray"
I have two nurses living less than 50 yards from me, one in her late fifties and one in her sixties. Both are specialist nurses but are working ten hour shifts on Covid wards
people are dying every day and not "just old people" this is not a time for wastingamybodies time with spurious information requests..

Fine. I've got better things to be doing than obeying the laws I don't like, too.

In fairness, whether it's right or wrong to ask the question at this moment, public bodies are legally obliged to answer FOI. It won't hinder any health professionals fighting to save lives, as all public sector organisations employ individuals whose specific job is to deal with FOI, not nurses and doctors. The media are the main requestors as it provides them with a free, if unimaginative, source of stories...how much did X organisations spend on paper clips last year etc. It's surprising if health trusts don't have those figures available off the shelf as they are presumably vital in tracking the scale and nature of the disease?

Well Zack, why don't you volunteer at your local hospital to see it firsthand?
As previously mentioned, my Mrs runs the imaging dept of 3 major London hospitals (Charing Cross, St Mary's & The Hammersmith) and their wards are 100% full I can assure you.
The situation is more than dire, I know personally many people now in ITU, many of whom are NHS workers trying to look after idiots like you.
Rather than choosing to believe some minority program over the overwhelming evidence under your nose you might want to open your eyes and see the real situation.
Poncho,
You are correct that there will be a dept not on the frontline that deals with the stats, but those stats are changing by the hour and pretty well every dept is tied up in the management of the crisis whether they are front line or not. The logistics involved are mind boggling - the zoom meetings I listen to while my mrs works from home are pretty eye opening.

Off the Xmas card list
Someone locally 'got into' the local QA hospital and filmed pictures of corridors devoid of people and allegedly also filmed in A&E . Not sure how they managed the last bit as A&E is strictly Ambulance or prior 111 appointment only?( been there and accesss controlled by security and YES it is empty a sonly really ill patients are being seen .
Since 1/1/2020 they have been 50 deaths from covid ON THE WARDS , as confirmed by my SIL who works in ICU . As per many hopsitals they are not taking in 'general' COVID patients but only those in the highest priority needs. 2 personal friends have had it and one was lucky enough not to need hospilsation.
The other is very ill and at home but is being phoned every 3 hours to check his oxygen levels whilst being treated with medicine prescribed by the hospital . They are also only admitting those in severe need ie intubation.
Did anyone see the 'propoganda' on TV last night of the yemp mortuarys being set up in Surrey as the normal storage is overun ...and the expect the temp storage to be overun within acouple of days .

You might want to be careful in replies to this person as you may end being quoted in his signature section like others who disagree with his views.
