    Bojangles

Does anyone have any info on Bojangles Hot rods, early 60's Manchester.....
I think they were importing glass T's from the States.

Does anyone know the history.... What happened to them.

    Ta,
    Iggy

Never heaard of them before ?Isn't that Chicago John territory, he'd have known I'd have thought, maybe one of his mates could ask him?

I'd be VERY surprised to learn of someone importing A GRP T body, let alone bodies, from the States back then, one of the reasons being that they were a brand new idea back then .

That's why Jago mocked up his own in '68.

I have a vague memory of someone with a name like that advertising bonnet bulges/scoops in CC way back.

I'm fairly au fait with early history f T bucket shells in this country, living on Jagos doorstep and spending much of my early rodding days there. First import that I heard of was a Florida Rodshop body by Tony Thacker ( late 70s /early 80s ) and was going to be remolded by Westbourne FW . No idea about Eddie Wimbles molds but I'm sure he can fill us in .

I remember a 'Mr Beaujangle' rod being featured in an early Hot Car, from memory, it was vaguely T ish, but not quite.

It's spelt wrong I think. It was Beaujangles. They were in early Custom Car magazines and had a sand rail as well as drag racing a T bucket I think. I associate them with early chop stuff as well at about the time Ray Leon was in action? Would have been late sixties/early seventies.

I'd be interested to see a picture of the T body they were racing. Bear in mind that was the time when Jago 2 hit the streets and he started making bodies.

Apologies Kev it wasn't a T bucket but an Opus as a pic from Timetravel shows. You'll recognise the sand buggy thing though from early magazines/shows. It would appear that they made plenty of beach buggies as well.
