Take London for instance, they are clutching at straws trying to meet clean air targets, but seem to think it ok to have huge firwork displays at every opportunity.
Personally I'm bored with them (seen one whoosh, bang, aaaahh seen them all) and they upset my dog so just being a grumpy old git.
Our cats are not too impressed with them either.

    2 things

Following your logic is where the greens go - lets just ban pretty well everything as it harms the environment. It starts with fireworks but where does it end? Banning cars? - oh, they already want to do that! What will be the next thing to ban? As one of the biggest polluters is central heating that is also in the green's targets - not going to be much fun with 10 jumpers on and cold at home.

The second is going back to my post above - whatever we do is inconsequential if the rain forest are being cut down so much, the pollution from China's planned power station building this year will push the worlds CO/temp levels above 1.5 degrees alone - even if the rest of the world cut right back - so its all just a game of politics with us as the losers.

Anyone who steps in to try to stop deforestation will be dead quickly . This world sucks but 'money' will always remove all obstacles to profit.
