How did you work out rack width and height.im guessing it has no bump steer

I did it in a thoroughly modern way which is unusual for me.....I watched the episode of Project Binky where they dedicated a big section on how they calculated the bump steer over and over again and then applied it to mine.
There was a lot of string and geometry involved and there’s probably still no guarantee it’s 100%!

The rack width I calculated using the line between the upper and lower arm pivot points and making the rack pivots intersect exactly there...that’s the mG rack you narrowed 193mm for me!

Not saying you have to but it takes a lot of hassle out the build.if I could be arsed I could make stuff like that axles and radiators, bit not worth the time involved.
I took the radiator from my old Ford 8N tractor down to the local radiator shop for a cleanout. As it's 71 years old I thought it might be about time
They estimated about $300 to unsolder the core and clean the passages out. The price was good provided they didn't need to replace the core.
Thought it a reasonable price considering the labour involved, but they then said it would take about a month before they could even look at it.
    I ended up ordering this:

I have found that it is more expensive to pay too little than too much.

You always end up doing the job twice and buying the good stuff you should have bought in the first place.

    Nothing to do with Wayne.

    I get that.
I will generally only put quality brand parts on anything I have to buy in for builds, like fans/bearings/heaters and general stuff as it doesn't pay to do cheap.

but buying custom made stuff,if say two products did the same, why would you go for something that was five grand dearer than a another product that does the same

my favourite no nos, fitting second hand parts provided by customer, when they don't work its your fault and trying to codge something up as a favour or for a mate cos they cant afford to do it properly no matter how many times you warn that its crap and wont last long because it needs new parts you still get it in the ear because you were supposed to fix it. I just don't do it anymore and certain "friends" who I only see when they need me get a price that's stupidly too dear just so they'll take it elsewhere.
