    You fill in the changes section on the V5C with the details. Note that they will not accept round numbers for engine cc has to be exact .

    You also need to provide proof of the changeover , see here for details and links to DVLA site .

    Sounds silly but i've found if you send a letter with your logbook explaining that you have changed the engine yourself this may not get though unless you add the wording " please accept this letter as proof needed " then the letter go's in the file no probs.

    Thanks for the advice, will give it another 2 weeks before i get on the blower.

    Filled in exact cc and the letter was a trade letter on headed paper giving all the details inc engine number so fingers crossed.
    Will let you know how i get on.
