    any ebay sellers here.

i dont sell jack so unsure of how it works.

if something was in car parts for 130 notes on a buy it now.

how much would the seller get after ebay fees and paypal taking their cut.

    thanks

    Listing fees are fairly cheap.
Ebay take 10% and PayPal take about 3% I think.
So you would see about £110 out of your £130.

I think it's a bit unfair that they also take 10% on postage as the latter is a cost, and therefore it's a cost on a cost. You'd have to make a decision whether it was worthwhile selling something that was fairly low value, but high postage. PayPal can be a bit higher than 3% now - worth checking on the eBay site.

There was a bit on a consumer programme yesterday about how with eBay/PayPal the buyer has all the rights and the seller virtually none, so go careful.

Well, if they're entertaining offers then their costs from eBay/PayPal go down proportionately. However, of course the postage cost will remain the same. Not knowing what the part/real value/competition is, the obvious offer to me from £130 is £100 and settle a little higher.

If it is buy it now you get offer / counter offer / offer /counter offer / final offer.
So it depends how firm the price is.

There was a promo '£1 max final value fee' last weekend, so if the listing is fairly recent it may not cost the seller much at all.

That's what I do - wait until a £1 special offer weekend comes up and list my higher value stuff.
