I recently bought a snow plow for my forklift and just emailed the guy as his business details were bottom left of the page. I asked if any discount if buying direct and he gave me 10%. He explained that as a regular seller he doesn't always pay 10% ebay fees or full 4% paypal fees. I was happy at that and still got a vat invoice.

I've been getting the £1 selling fee quite often recently, despite not selling a great deal on there - I've probably shifted £1200 of stuff in the past few months and paid about £15 in selling fees

Even better, some of the larger stuff has been cash on collection so PayPal haven't had too much out of me either

    EBay has a huge reach.
I've sold stuff on there with very little trouble, and sometimes got top dollar for stuff that might not otherwise reach the right market..
Not every buyer is a toss pot.

Agreed - I've just topped 1,000 feedback from selling junk (and buying the odd bit too) and only come across two ****s.

The main reason for those two is you can't insist on immediate payment for things collected in person, so cheap lumpy bits are open to abuse.

You can't beat the exposure tough, even if paying the full 10%.

We use the £1 final value offer, quite a lot, but becareful, as they will automatically relist the item if not sold, and if it then sells, you owe them 10%.... you can get around the fee on the postage, by listing it as collection only, but add the cost of postage in the description.
Just a passer by as you might say.

No, parts are OK - I've sold bike wheels, forks, tanks, seats, etc., and a moped project. Vehicles aren't eligible.
