Windows one is the little blue head one like you said

If you go to "who's on line" its the little blue coat wearing head thing in the last colume

I use www.gmx.co.uk. It's free and I don't think as obvious as hotmail etc. I also have a gmail but can't use it everywhere as it falls foul of some firewalls.
