ford 1.6 ohv crossflow inlet manifold/carb options

ive a kent 1.6 crossflow with twin 40 weber carbs on at the minute.. i'd like to replace them with a single twin choke carb but dont know anything about the options id have, its an inline engine and box, would a minifold/ carb of say a fiesta work?

i believe a mk 1 xr2 will fit otherwise mk2 1600 gt/e Cortina mk 1 escort mexico mk 2 escort sport and I think ghia maybe some capris too or aftermarket 28/36 weber from somewhere like classic carbs uk
smaller engine fiestas and mk 3 and on escorts used Valencia/hcs engines that are different I believe

ive got inlet manifolds both that take a throttle linkage and the earlier mk2 cortina type, how tuned is your engine?

The Ford Ka originally used a Kent engine, but I guess by that time with a throttle body.

691m is earlier crossflow, probably mk2 cortina. if you currently have twin webers it'll be easier to use the later manifold that has the linkage bolted to it. they had a twin choke weber with both 32mm chokes. a 32/36 from a pinto fits and should be easier to find. mark (352 kum) may have it all for you if you ask nicely, lol.
    neil.
need a job done on your project? i may be able to help.
