    Garage floor

    hi all
well for some time now we have had the resin paint for the garage floor but never got around to doing it but it will not be painted but will have a polished finnish
so we started on monday afternoon and this is how far we have got..
all the old paint has been ground off the cracks in the floor have been taken down further and then it was primered and a coat of grit sand put on top..
tomorrow when it is dry we will brush all the excess grit off and reseal it ready for the top coat.... once it has had 2 or 3 layers on we will have to leave it for 2 days to harden so we can diamond polish it..
this is a new product from the usa that my mate has and as far as i know it has not been used much here in the uk.
will keep posting pictures as we go on..

    pic 1 & 2 taken monday evening

    pic 3 last night

pic 4 today with all old paint removed

pic 5 this evening with the grit covering on

That looks good. I was thinking about latexing my garage floor.........not sure how tough it would be though. Maybe black and white vinyl tiles over the latex for no other reason other than it would look cool

and we can't put anything in there until sunday night..
the lad who is doing it has repaired the floor in the victoria albert museum in london so he knows what he is doing..

For that much effort, I'd have tiled it. There's no applied coating that comes close to lasting like a ceramic tile.
