Sorry to hear that Ian, but glad that you are now on the road to recovery.
Had a cancer scare myself last year - pre cancerous cells on tongue which Iv'e just had surgery for - but still puts the wind up you just to hear that word mentioned with your name. Hopefully mine will be gone now too but as you say the NHS can be amazing.

WoW Ian .... don't know what to say mate>>>>>> Glad you made the right choices well done that man... Think I would be to inclined to put my head in the sand, until it would be to late. Bloody **** getting old aint it :o)
Just happy you are sorted. Suppose you've upstaged Julie so she won't get the sympathy she deserves for her op... ;o)
Hope all goes well for ya both and ya keep your sense of humour.. That was why you didn't do the fancy Dress at the Nats. All The Best Buddy!

I have some idea as many do, and to be fair it helps to talk about it, i only wish more men would talk about problems down below as the support is their.
Best wishes on the recovery Ian, glad you opened up about it as well, as i said their are quite a few of us with issues down their.
Thanks Russ, had the catheter in for only 10 days and that drove me mad,yep its a busy are down there,it needs redesigning by a hot rodder .

To right Kev,and i found out there are not always symptoms that you have it.

one of my closest mates died recently of prostate cancer and i miss him a lot.
I'm really pleased for you mate and i admire your dignity and compsosure in how you handled this.
Too many people want the world to know what victims they are and you've done the opposite.
I've been thinking about having a test and this might just be the kick up the arse i needed
I hope your recovery goes on and on.
It must have affected those close to you which is often overlooked
    Best
    Neil

Sorry to hear about this mate. Maybe it's because we're older but as you say there seems to be a lot of people affect by the bigC just lately.

Glad to hear of the positive outcome and hope it's business as usual for both of you in the coming season.
    See you soon mate

Hi Ian.Wow had no idea also. Thanks for the reminder to get ourselves checked out, we are all guilty of thinking things will get better if we ignore them! Hope you and Julie continue your recovery.

    frikin cancer ****ed me off!

glad you are on the road to recovery, stories like this always scare me
I'm a pretty healthy dude, go to the gym everyday, eat healthy, I'm 37 and never had anything wrong with me, but this **** scares me.

just out of interest, how old are you?

sometimes I think about going to the doctors and ask to be tested for everything (just in case there's something at its early stages) but I dont think they do that kind of 'MOT' test?
