    Slightly off topic but; do you know where Gerry Anderson got his insipration for Supercar from? Or at least, part of Supercar. Not the series itself but the vehicle. I think I know but not 100% sure

    Well, I've read/heard/dreamed he got the idea for the back end of Supercar from a '59 Cadillac. Makes sense really. I think.

    I seem to recall that Gerry Anderson's brother was in the RAF, and that he himself was heavily influenced by aeroplanes of the time; Thunderbird 2 bears more than a passing resemblance to the De Havilland Vampire T11, and only recently I discovered that astronaut "Gus" Grissom's first name was Virgil!
    Just a passer by as you might say.

    Yes, Gerry Anderson's brother was in the Air Force. He used to send letters home from a station he was based at called 'Thunderbird Air Base'. This is what sowed the seed for Thunderbirds with brother Gerry.
