    Kia Sorento noise

Not hot rod related but just to ask if anyone has had this problem. Kia Sorento suv, sort of rubbing noise coming from front when turning left and right! Seems to be drivers side, so found some play in wheel bearing and drive shaft. Replaced them, nearly £300 and still same noise.

Can anyone help? pulling my hair out! Thanks.

Some of the big Kia’s have problems with the bottom ball joint/upright tapered seating wearing away, have good look there.

Hi Mel, so it only does it left and right but not straight? first thing i would suggest is disc backing plate i guess it would have been removed when the bearing was done, but they could still be touching the disc. also when it does the noise apply the brakes and see if the noise goes or changes. Have a look at the engine and gearbox mounts, if previous work has been done the mounts may not be correctly positioned which can cause noises when cornering.
How does the noise come in, does it get louder is it there all the time. are you sure its not the other wheel bearing, sometimes it can be hard to tell.

All sorted now, other side bearing collapsed, funny how sound transmits, you'd have thought it was coming from the side i had just done!!! Now rear wiper stops working. Hopefully a fuse, can't be bothered to look!

Thanks for the replies. Merry Christmas!
