I get a lot of tyres online now and get them fitted locally.

Quite a lot of decent tyres out there, that you can use,.you don't have to go with bf,and the likes.think the ones on my car maybe Michelin or Uniroyasl,in 10x15
    Rod/custom/drag build profiles:
    Mini | Pop | Porker | Trike | Morris 8

    | 48 chevy coupe | ford f100 | tube chassis,d pop

as wayne says bfg's aren't the only tyres in that size. that size was fitted to big arch suzuki vitaras so any tyre shop should be able to get them ( in 'road' tread patterns mostly).
    neil.

Remembering that the ratio needs to suit the vehicle, suspension and traction needs.

Depends what car ya got and what ya gonna do with it.

I e low profiles may not suit older suspension that was actually designed for fat comfy tyres.

they have quite a tall sidewall by today's standards, being 50% of the 295mm section width so ride pretty good compared to modern low profile tyres.

295 50 15 ?.......General do them .Think the type is called Cobra

    I used 285/40 x 15 Pirelli P7 on a Lotus Sunbeam

High Radius tyres .....285/70 x 15 BFGs, again you can get the General version usually it's cheaper. there are couple of other manufactures of 295/50,285/70s......You could consider 275/60 or 275/70
    I personally wouldn't drop below a 265 section tyre on a 10 inch rim,

in a 70 profile a 255 fits a 10x15 quite well, it's got enough sidewall to carry off the narrower tread. had them on the back of my f250 a while back.
