    Model T on Ebay

Interesting car on the bay at the moment, museum selling off some of their exhibits!

Looks like an old build, features a "Rodding Scene" shell & axle so that dates it somewhat!!

    Thats the one! Well spotted

Show Card says it was donated in 2008, but it looks like it hasn't been used for a long time?

    Anyone recognise it?

Interesting V5c. Comes up as "Sports" not Ford or Jago or whatever. Shows how up the creek DVLA records are :-)

    Hi All,

I seem to remember reading an article about this 3 or 4 months back (possibly on the NSRA forum) and the then owner had deceided to give up rodding and move on to other things so donated the T to Whitewebbs museum.

If i can find the article i will post it up.

    cheers

    Russ.

    Hi Micks47,

Its wasnt that unusual a couple of decades ago to be able to alter the body so much that you could have the logbook altered and give the car a new name (ie make/model) and yet still retain the original build date obviously it would have to have been inspected and agreed.

I guess this is how this car came about, i am sure doug could enlighten you if you are interested.

    Hi All,

Found the thread, it was on the NSRA website, it appears "jimmy" who donated it to Whitewebbs also built it.

    Cheers

Methinks this is a case of asking a paid up NSRA member to invite Jimmy over here!!?

I see he was in The Eastern Cruisers so maybe Marty will know him?

    Hi All,

Have been watching this thread since it went on. I was hoping Jimmy Waters might have posted (although it is quite possible he doesnt know about this thread).

Seeing as he only donated the car about 18 months ago i wonder how he would feel about it being auctioned off maybe he wouldnt be bothered or possibly he was already made aware that Whitewebbs were going to do that at the time of donation.

I was having quite an interesting chat with "TOAD" the other day and maybe we are a bit oldschool but if someone gives me something for free and i then end up not using it i somehow think it would be immoral to sell it on for a profit. Much rather give it to someone that can make use of it.

However i wish the new owner the best of luck with it, and hopefully we will see it at some shows.

    Cheers.

    Russ.
