If you want to look at preventable deaths, then surely we all have a responsibility to stay healthy, the NHS should not exist for people who abuse their bodies long term through drinking, smoking, drug taking and obesity (all of which cause pre existing conditions that exacerbate the virus) same goes for all the knob heads that wont vaccinate their children; I've lost friends from cancer that were entirely preventable, and have several friends self isolating as they are obese (with diabetes) none of which were in any way fat when they were younger.

Recently my other half and I had the misfortune to spend an afternoon in A&E after an unemployed immigrant hit us head on; the guy in the bay opposite was Turkish, a life long smoker who was back in for the third time with irregular heart problems; I overheard the doctors saying that his heart was beating way to fast and that it couldn't do that for much longer; through the curtains they had got his legs up beyond his head in an attempt to stabilise him....as for me I have a broken sternum (in two places) and a fractured wrist, and if I had contracted covid19 during this time it would have probably killed me, as the pain from coughing was easily the worst I have ever experienced …….moral of the story stay fit and healthy you never know when you might need that!
Just a passer by as you might say.

We lost Marians mum during the time her home was locked down. We were 'lucky' that the end was fairly imminent and able to be juged. Even so Marian was allowed only 1/2 hour, all masked up to say her goodbyes. Socially distanced funeral was even worse.

Sadly, we didn't even get that when my Mum died in a care home in April, as the place had been in lock down for a few weeks and no civvies allowed in. Because Covid 19 was on her Death Cert she went straight to cremation. We're planning to have a Requiem Mass and celebration of her life on anniversary of her birthday next year. Mind you, planning for anything......?

I lost my dad during Covid19 (although not from it) he died in hospital and I wasn't allowed to visit him at all. To cap it all, making things far worse than it already was, I took a mobile phone and charger in to the hospital so at least i could talk to him, and that, along with all the posessions and money he had with him, plus his house keys, all got "lost" ( read "stolen" in my view). That was just less than 4 months ago and I'm still waiting for them to admit it's happened, and give me an apology. I won't hold my breath....

The bar has been set. They know how much people will take now, so it's clear everyone will accept more lockdown, more restrictions. I think back and I spent the best part of a week at my mums bedside in her final days. It was heartbreaking but I couldn't forgive being disallowed the privilege. Only today I had someone almost fall into a hedge bottom for fear of being within six feet of me. We have been made to fear and hate our fellow man, to be suspicious of everyone we see and to disconnect from strangers by being masked. It is wrong and yet people I thought I knew are part of the problem, fuelling the fear...I actually know someone who says they think everyone should have to wear a mask in public, even when the 'pandemic' is over. It is frightening. Time to let the sheep follow whatever guidance they want and let those of us who want to, live our lives as we see fit. Stay home if you want, but don't shackle the rest of us in the process

Some truly heartbreaking comments on here, common sense appears to have completely disappeared. My main point really was how an event like the one in London can take place and none of the main news channels cover it, not even radio. But much smaller events/protests are covered to death by all the channels, all this does is confirm to an already anxious public that we are being intentsionally lied to and miss-informed to on a scale not seen before but now proven to be. How can we now believe anything thats continually pumped out by MSM.
I live not far from Hull and our local newstation last week tried to find out why the Royal hotel was closed to the public but full of immigrants, no joy asked to leave the premises ect, the local council says it's not of their doing, local MPs say they'll get to bottom of this bla bla bla , a local taxi driver(they always know what's going on) said they come from Dover by coach, and are wandering in and out and around Hull.
There are supposedly 4-5 thousand immigrants currently kept in Hotels throughout England, adding to anxiety and distrust of a government trying to do this on the quiet. Boarder force or should i say boarder farce escort all these to the UK from France.
I have no problem with immigration to this country as long as procedures are in place so the right poeple come in, thousands of people entering ilegally should be discouraged not encouraged.
Rant over, what I see is a British public losing confidence in a government they cannot trust and a media they cannot trust, wear a mask -don't wear a mask, do this do that, don't do that, it will descend into chaos without strong leadership.
