Kinda feel that I've done most of the dubs (certainly owned and modded all the ones I have wanted to really) just sold the 67 bug, but still have the beach buggy but it's the v8 / yank itch that I need to scratch now. Seeing the initiation though I can understand the itching now, must have picked it up whilst looking at the for sale ads!

Sold my slammed '63 Bug in November last year and just cannot get the sound of a V8 out of my mind. Always loved a VHRA looking rod and have had an interest in salt flat racing etc for years. I go to Milwaukee quite a bit with work and during the summer season there the mid-week car shows blow me away. Another reason I'd like a '32/'34 rod is that I'm only 5'6" so I'd look as if I had no rod at all in a big yank tank, lol. Hope you have luck at Shakey. I'll be tying a knot in it tomorrow and not drinking tea until I get home! Hope the weather is better too!
