alleykat; I feel your pain. People think I made up the name 'Fivers' because literally no one remembers them (unless someone on here does) They were savory snack things in a bag. There were peanuts, crisps, things that were a bit like mini Shreddies etc. Tell me I haven't dreamed them.....

mattblack; I went to Manchester for my holiday's in the 60's and I remember seeing a pushbike tyre round the bottom of a lamp post. All knobbly it was, brand new. Someone with a bit of money and a sense of humour put it there no doubt. I really wanted it for my bike but of course, I couldn't get it off the lamp post.

Ahh, I remember them! Very frustrating. Weren't they called tracker tyres? Way before BMX and MTB were invented, you could convert your standard pushbike with 26" wheels to an off roader. Of course these were well beyond any pocket money I was getting, so I had to stick with the Michelin ZigZags.

Heard an ad on the radio this morning from the Post Office about some high tech way of dropping off parcels for collection, I suspect something called an 'app' may be involved...

I'm sure we used to have something called 'Post Offices' for that...

I was going to say Mint Cracknall. Also Fry's mint creme.

I've still got a colortune spark plug kit!

I used to remember getting 8 black jacks or fruit salads for a penny, used to spend 10 pence & get 80
