I remember an old fable, about belief, habit and courage. Sort of.
A baby elephant was tied up to a pole hammered in to the ground. It pushed and pulled but resigned itself to its fate.
Many years later as a full grown powerful beast it could be tied to the now obviously tiny insignificant pole confident that it would do nowt but accept its lot.
Oy, I've never been hammered (excluding the Pan Galactik Gargle Blasters), nor been referred to as "tiny insignificant" (a bit difficult if 6'3" and almost 17 stone) .
