    towing with a sit up n beg type pop!

    anyone tow a trailer with a standard pop?
    will it pull a light trailer?

    I dont see why not,I had a 22 stone mate riding in the back of mine once and the car moved along ok.A light trailer,a VERY light trailer !

    I probably didn't make it light enough really, it's all heavy box-section. But I did want it to be strong (I stick bikes on it as well)





    Going to Drayton it was pretty full, two 6 man tents, gazebo, table, camping chairs, airbeds, bedding, food, clothes, cookers, boots, wellies, helmets.... Could only just get tonneau to fit, and could hardly lift front end of trailer. Still towed okay though

    Sorry to hi-jack this,Shedster could I see a pic of the bike on the trailer,saw that in CC mag and wondered what it was.

    Thats fantastic,and to think I passed up on one of those James a couple of weeks ago,Im gonna have to get in the garage and finish my simsaki,simson scooter kawasaki motor!

    odgie, notice you have the suspention units on upside down to lower the base/bed of your trailer! do the units still work in that location?

    Yeh, there's still seems to be enough bounce in them, when I was starting to build it I jumped up and down on them (very technical test procedure) and they moved okay, and I've had no problems so far. For sure engineering-wise it isn't an ideal solution, but then neither is a steering box/beam axle/skinny crossplies combo - we just use what suits us, yeh?
