    Thumbs up

I loved that era too - sure there were some horrors, but there were also some nicely done sidepiped n muralled machines. We all like different things in this hobby = me, I'd take a flaked, muralled, redlit back axled SS Camaro over a steel Deuce every time!

Yes i had an Anglia Van back in the early 90's, jacked up as high as i could get it and the front lowered by 2", not to bad in a straight line, but braking at that angle without seatbelts was an event . Thanks for all your points of view, may be the milder one in the grass is the way to go.
I have a motorcycle as i can't afford a ROD, but i can have as many rods as i like in 1/24th.

i bet if someone did build a "70's replica" (for wont of a better description) it would have a huge crowd around it at ,say, Billing. In the carpark of course, as the stewards probably wouldn't let it in

Just a thought, but don't cars such as this deserve recognition, as they ae very much part of "our" british hot rod heritage?
A bullet might have your name on it, hand grenades are addressed "to whom it may concern......."

You can never have too much red wine, too many books or too much ammunition.

    Hi Taff,

I have to agree with you on both points.

It won't be me though, i don't aspire to drive anything like that again.

As i am getting older my bottle is going.

    Cheers.
