Jim, My ex in-laws (old people) had 900K of land nicked (almost) BY the Solicitors and the agents selling their house.
They didnt know for 5 years, then it cost them 200K to get the **** back AND had to swear in court they would not say anything with the threat of Jail if they did.....if that doesnt show folk how corrupt and crooked the system is then I dont know what does
Some idiots think stuff like that doesn't happen and jump into bed and promote the "establishment" whenever possible, silly people.

Of course, what a lot of them are doing up here are advertising commerical land at 125K per acre but then not selling it and avoiding potential buyers so that they can go back to the local planning departments and say that they simply can't sell the land for commercial use and so it really needs to go for houses, and then a brown envelope (probably) seals that deal as the land has been empty for a few years, and so the land suddenly quadruples in value.....
We are really off-topic here Jimmy but somethings have to be said,
Estate agents are one of the most immoral, devious bunch of people 'legalised' by their supposed 'profession'. They will take full advantage of the ignorant and elderly who, looking to sell their property and probably provide funds to help supplement the meagre state pension (which itself barely pays for council tax) entrust the agents and solicitors (who rarely themselves perform fully on behalf of their client). The estate agent will talk the seller-in to how bad the property is, how bad the market currently is for anyone selling properties and get the seller to sign-up for a sole agency deal. You'll see their company boards outside the property. This appeases the seller. You won't see the property up for sale on-line, in the agents window, in local newspapers or on circulation lists out to people on their property lists. They will deliberately withhold the property from the market (certainly from the likes of you and I Jimmy) Why? - they will inform their developer buddies and builders in advance, possibly get them to view the property with derisory cash offers for a quick sale (which never turns out quick).......and just sit and wait for the seller to lower their resistance to selling at cheap price. And as you have already alluded to Jimmy - the brown envelopes will later pass around..........

So back to the question of Rhd. My rod came to me as a LHD but after chopping the screen and building the carson style top. I found that coming down a sliproad to the motorway I couldn't see a bloody thing. So I converted it, and what a difference. It's now so easy to drive.(and it was actually a Dagenham built RHD originally).
