anyone do the americana today ,sun , i thought it was deadly quiete, loads of room ,never seen it so empty ,hardly any stalls, hardly any motorhomes, just seemed real strange, 30.00 to walk in each , 20.00 with a car, cant blame weather as it was perfect, newark is finished with new venue next year, a disused airstrip just outside loughborough apparently, a bit of strip racing etc, security was good here today, still had the scattering of undesirables though, not just me , everyone said the same , what do you think

Defo got the same vibe. Saturday the site was like a ghost town until early eve when the undesirables came out of the woodwork and seemed to out number the regular clientel. My friends were camped by the main gate so all we saw was a constant brightly coloured stream. I couldn't believe how quiet it was especially on the Saturday. In previous years you would have been shoulder to shoulder in every part of the grounds fighting your way through the crowd buy this year you could have spun through the grounds like a tornado with your arms out and would still have been lucky to hit anyone. It was that poor attended I heard the wall of death guys saying they did one show on the friday to just 12 people. Not good. As for stalls, looks like the traders decided to stay away. There really was only a handful. I'd estimate about only 10% of traders from what i had seen previous years. Still, was with good friends so had a great weekend.
