Not proud of this, but when I was waiting for my '58 to arrive from the States I watched the film twice a day sometimes!
It's still a bloody good film. I read the book fairly recently, yeah it's better, but the film is still good.

Me and a couple of mates used to be able to recite the film between us. Unhealthy, that is...
One of these days I'll have another '58, and I'm damn sure it'll be red and white this time.
still a great film
Books are always better as the mind conjures up the pictures, not the director!!
I have it on DVD, I always liked the Dodge the boys ride in before Christine gets her teeth into him.

When my mate had his 59 Ford consul all i could hear and think about when it was running was

Christine was the first Stephen King book I read. I remember thinking 'Why would you assume an oil leak meant the block was cracked? And how did he drive it away if there was no sump plug in it?' Maybe I was over thinking it!
I've still got the film on VHS (and still got a player), recorded off the TV complete with Michael Barrymore advertising Metros in the ad breaks... or is that 'Two Lane Blacktop'...? Anyway, the opening scene of the production line with 'Bad To The Bone' playing is ace!
