I like the disk wheels a lot better, not sure about the grill, depends whether I can lash up a decent bottom part for it, might just be OK with an apron over the frame horns though..

Had a good few days on it and quite pleased with progress, after ages thinking how to do the tail I remembered I should be back in the 1920s and how would it be done.
Then I remembered the ash frame repair pieces that came with the car, just rough sawn blanks really.

So after a lot of slotting and pie cutting angle iron, and a lot of cutting and glueing wood I ended up with this lot.

The tail looks simple to do being just 3 bent flatfish panels, which is one reason I started this project, but I can now tell y'all it just ain't so, it's fiendishly complex!

Waiting till Monday for some ally sheet, but trying it with cardboard and looking at the middle bit tells me I have some thinking and trimming to do yet!
