    1937 Morris 8

I finally got round to the first mock up for my '37 Morris 8.

The aim was to see how the wheels looked with the body, and to experiment with ride height/stance.
I've taken loads of measurements and photos - next step is to design chassis so that it all fits together.

Tried & tested Rover V8, Jag IRS combo. Using SD1 5 speed gearbox.
Front end possibly narrowed Jag or at least using the Jag hubs/calipers etc.

I'm new to this side of things, so any comments advice appreciated.

    Cheers.

Will you be varnishing or laquering the chassis. LOL

    Body looks in great condition.

As I'm starting from scratch on this I may as well design and build the car to meet the regs.
Reading the manual is a bit of a nightmare and I'll probably be pestering people here for advice on this in the future.

Its a bit of shame in some ways as I love the fenderless look and think it would really suit the shape of the car, but I've decided to go for full fenders & running boards etc.
Old'uns may remember 'Jam Roller' from the 70s - I really like the look of that car, especially from the back, and in some ways its similar to the Morris 8. I'm still undecided whether to keep the body almost stock or whether to chop and modify in the same style as Rolller.

The body is not in as good condition as it looks in the photos sadly, quite a lot of rot at low level, but the top part is pretty nice still.

As for the wooden chassis Jeff, not sure if I will use that as I cant find nails big enough for the engine mounts!
