    Block was away for 16 weeks being rebored. But it’s all back together and not smoking nearly as bad ( a little puff now and then). After a all the work (both engine and gearbox was overhauled) teething problems are like starting over. Took it to work one day (17 miles), normally a 20 minute drive. It played up a little on the way. I put it down to carburettor icing. How wrong was I? It was a 5-1/2Hr journey home. What fealt like carburettor problems turned out to be the coil shorting internally. Found the carb floats were damaged and the threads for the needle valves were shot. Mr Prew helped me with a new pair. Runs great now!

    Took the time to make a magnetic sump plug. Was worth it. Just completed the first oil change (150 miles). Just look at the sh1t it picked up and I cleaned it within an inch of its life.

    It's always a bit scary when you look at the magnetic sump plug on a fresh build! Pretty normal though.
