    1940 Harley 45

This is my winter project, have been riding the old girl about as she was all last year but knew she needed a thorough going through. And I wast wrong, found lots that needed doing. The photos below are of it the day I purchased it & as it was being stripped down. It's going back together now but being held up by the post office! Im still waiting for another parcel from the states! Hope to have it back on the road by Easter!

    Like that a lot.
I do love 45's. Bought my first from Fred Warr back in the seventies. He took me round the back of the shop and taught me how to use the clutch on a Friday afternoon and I set off home in the rush hour. By the time I got back I swore that I would take it back to Fred on Monday morning. However, by Monday morning I was totally in love with it!

I did a direct access course in Jan 2009 purely to get myself a 45, I passed first time & a week later I collected it:-) I spent a day trying to get to grips with the clutch but soon got the hang of it! I can honestly say that it is the best thing that I have ever bought.

Cool. Are you going to put everything back on, or leave it stripped down a bit?
