A little more progress since the body went back on.
Front screen and side glass in place. Also fitted the tail gate. and added the plates and lights.
The moon tank is also mounted.
The other project was the interior trim. Sewing in all the pleats has been a bit of a mission. But its getting there now. Only a few more bits to finish.
Most of the wiring is done now too. Just needs tidying up a bit and a final check and test. So soon be running again.
I also mounted the battery in the back. On the passenger side and hid it behind the boot trims. So thats another problem overcome.
    Slowly slowly its coming along.
If its low n black n shiny n sparkley n loud n spitting fire....... It's probably mine.

Bits you cant really see have been going on. Fuel lines with filters and heat sheathing.
More wiring. Head lights, indicators and radiator fan. Stuff like that.
The final trim for the tail gate got trimmed ready to go on as soon as the wiring is finished.
Not very exciting.... but its all progress.

Well I have a few days off work, so I aim to be driving out of the garage by thursday........!
So the plan was.... Monday. Day 1Finish wiring. Day 2. Fit carpet seats and all ((or most)) of the interior trim. Day 3. Fill all the fluids and fix any leaks. Bleed brakes etc. Fuel and set carb float heights etc. Then Day 4. Drive it out the garage and up the drive and back.

So far day 1 saw the wiring all connected and checked. Everything seems to work ok.
Day 2. ((Today)) Got the dash bolted back in, carpet and seat frame in, Hand brake and shifter gaitors bolted down. Most of the roof lining is in too. I only got 1/2 day on it today unfortunatly. But its on track to drive by thursday.... Fingers crossed!

So I had my daughters car fail its mot. So instead of working on mine for the last two day, I have been sorting that out.
((Lots of welding and rear axle out to replace bushes etc))
But...... I have still got a lot done on mine. So here goes........

Hung the doors and lined them up. Catches on and latching.
Rear seat is fake. Its just a cover for the fuel tank. But I wanted it to look like a rear seat... So thats fitted.
The front seat is back together and fitted.
Just need door handles and door trims on to complete the interior now.
So..... All I need to do now to drive it, is wrap the front end wiring and attach it to the chassis. Attach the trans cooler pipes to the chassis. Bleed the brakes and put fuel in.
Set the float heights and thats about all it needs to get mobile.
    Exciting times!
    Anyway..... Have some pictures.

A bit of *one step forward and one step back* today.
Fitted door glass in drivers door. Left it over night. Went in the garage this morning, and its shattered. Bugger!!!
    Never mind, more glass orderd.
The door mechanisms were all miss matched. Bear claws, Model A outer handles, Ford Pop inner handle mechanisms and random inner handles.
Nothing worked together, so I had to make up a rod and lever mechanism inside the door to make them cooperate. They now open from inside and outside.
Also put the door trims and handles on the passenger side door.
Really getting close to finishing now.

is there a screw head holding the fuzzy channel in the door that the glass edge could of pressed against? that'd do it for sure. be a bugger if it happened again.
