Cheers Steve , are you going back to work????????.
Iv been bit dodgy today mate,so no work
I'm sure I can hold bits of metal while you weld though?
Quick update, after not getting anything done last weekend , I would see what I could achieve this weekend . After stripping off the cab etc I made up the 2 new chassis rails , I am not keen on the sharp corners that you get when splicing box section so these were radiused to look a little more pleasing to the eye ( not sure if its worth it as it is alot of fiddling about ) but any way done now.The new rails were welded in then 4 fish plates were cut and welded in . With this done I marked out for the running board mounts and welded on the tapped plates. Then it was back on with the cab .

Not much progress to show , but I have been messing about with the front fenders getting them to sit just right . I thought the fenders were from a sedan but I have been reliably informed that they from the chevy range but are very rare !!!!!!!. Oh well i'm still going to cut them up . Some pics to follow of the mods made to the fenders (not very exciting). Any way a few pics of the running board mounts and the start of the reshaping of the rear fenders . The rears will stop on top of the running board ( like 37 ford ) instead of ending infront of fender .
So like to see great workmanship
Just a back yard hotrodder,learnt by mistake,still learning ?
