 Just let us know.
Grannies and eggs may apply here, but while the engine is out i would clean the breather on the inside of the rocker cover they are prone to blocking up once they have got a few miles on the clock. If you are going to be tight on space when the engine is fitted i would also check or even replace with new all the glow plugs while the engine is out.
I am a Complete diesel rooky.
Glow plugs have recently been changed but will do the breather like you suggest.
have got a 40 chevy coupe coming over from the u.s, and am looking for a couple of 5 stud steels

Very nice, Good choice of engine , they rev and sound great I have these for the last 14 years my current one has 300 thousand miles on clock and still runs sweet.
How are you going to get over fly by wire system ? I thought about doing the same engine swap but was put of with the pump issue + other wiring such as turbo boost sensors etc.
Good luck can`t wait to se it finished.
