    49 Dodge Wayfarer Business Coupe

    Ok After scouring the Mags forums and Ebay I finely found a car that seemed to have the look I wanted,

    [URL="https://www.rodsnsods.co.uk/forum/vehicles-sale/1949-dodge-wayfarer-coupe-66884[/URL]

    It would have been nice to have been lowered on air running a V8 a 12v system and a finished with a Beautiful leather interior and paint job but this is as standard as it came out of the factory, evidence of a restoration is there with a fresh interior and at some time a respray but I did at least get a rock solid rust free example so time to start !!

    Looks nice, love those "business coupes" with the long boot (trunk), almost like a small covered pickup. What's the plans for it then?

    The car is now lowered 6" at the front with new drop links made giving 4 1/4" of drop and 1/2 a coil from the front springs, The ones from the states looked naff and only gave 2 1/2 inch drop! 3 1/4 drop at the back by way of lowering blocks sitting much nicer now. Hope to get an extra 3" drop on air at a later date !! I may take another 1/2 coil out should give another 1"

    After a 240 mile first drive the car has now been delivered to Havair in Hastings for some body work and a respray with some "custom paints" ,now to find some wheels and tyres before Wheels Day !!! heres some links to products / people I use and recommend in-case it may help someone else.
