Cheers, forgot to say the doors I got must be from a later model. Moulding line is not as crisp so shows press tool worn Typical Austin, know a lad that worked on mini line looking after equipment and I said a genuine replacement rear subframe was out of line. They were still using the jig from 59 and it had been repaired many times!!! Even the door height is off by a good few mm but nothing the MIG cant fix.

Took door off and welded lower inner frame , ended up slicing it again ----- Made top hinge more adjustable and put packing in lower, still needs some sorting as looks like I need to make lower one adjust out more so door lines up with scuttle . Talking of which I need to repair the lower section as its rusted out.
Need to shape bottom of door or sill as a bit of fouling going on and the lower rear corner curves in to much so a bit more slicing than I hoped

Took a day off yesterday, had to sort sick note and see doc . Have another month and going for x ray next week.
Refreshed I got stuck in, door sorted and fits fine. Getting a bit OCD on shut lines , been watching too many hot rod shows!! Cut gutter off as a bit rusty and need to repair screen pillar/shut as you can see in pic. Door lock fitted and its nearly perfect just a panel thickness deeper, just needs a panel making to give stiffness. Misplaced a box of bits ? cant find rear window mech , did I keep it? god knows but do have front ones .

Do you think it looks okay gutter less , bit 90s!!but PIA to make new

Forgot to add , not worked out exterior handle yet. It has to push down on arm and cant use Omega one as first they are yuck looking and second not enough room. Room for window glass to fit past lock , will need some extra channel and inner window surround to match longer doors and one piece windows.

I’ve used Jag XJ handles before now and flush mounted them rather than the factory fitting on the surface. It leaves you with a chrome straight handle that sits flush with the door

Oh how I remember removing rust , keep at it and you’ll be down to the last areas of rust, looks good by the way, liking the longer doors so as to aid easier access , and have you thought of removing the rear side window divider ? ,it might compliment the longer door window.
